Alzheimers Q&A: Are massage or touch therapies beneficial for those with Alzheimer’s disease?

Mar 20, 2021
No treatment plan is perfect for those with alzheimers but massage/touch therapies can provide viable interventions to increase quality of life, curb and calm disruptive behaviours, improve blood circulation and improve their spirits.

Some research has found that even 5 minutes of hand massage can induce a physical relaxation response however for some people there maybe a negative response.
There is limited research in this area.

Have you tried? What has been the response?
